* Context of the mission :
The company works at the heart of the global travel industry, providing the technology that enables the travel sector to evolve - from initial search to booking, from pricing to ticketing, from reservations management to check-in and departure process management.
The products and solutions help to improve the business performance of their customers: travel agencies, corporations, airlines, ground handlers, hotels, railroads, car rental companies, airports, cruise lines and ferry operators.
Assignments offer the opportunity to learn and develop in an exciting, multicultural environment.
Airlines Data-driven engineering is booming, affecting all segments of their business. This offers many new challenges such as complex event handling, studio and ease of use, real-time analysis and the use of machine learning models at runtime.
* Objectives and Deliverables :
The mission consists of working on the design, development, and maintenance of a real-time streaming platform, using state-of-the-art technology. This platform touches all segments of our business, such as reservations, ticketing, departure control, inventory, and even airlines' proprietary systems. It allows airlines to react in real-time to their operations, creating and running key use cases in a modern and highly maintainable environment.
* Key Aspects :
As part of the component team, the job is to work on the global architecture definition and be responsible for the design and delivery of some key middleware components:
Our platform SDK, providing simple APIs hiding platform complexity (for messaging, logging...)
Our real-time data acquisition platform (ETL), leveraging Kafka and MongoDB to build a powerful, microservice-based streaming architecture
The architecture and reference implementation of the DH RESTful "Digital API"
Our CI/CD and platform templating tools
All components being cloud-ready, making the most of Red Hat OpenShift technology.
