Dimension of the role

Risk management clients activities include both actuarial and IT.
So that Risk Management business analyst requires a thorough knowledge of risk modelling and a good understanding of Insurance contract life cycle, as well as IT expertise in risk modelling tools.
Scarce resource to be secured in a complex environment in context of solvency II combined with multi-skills (actuarial & IT) and International scope.
He/she has also to manage projects & IT resources from project perspectives.
The client scope is international: 300 users across 10 entities within the Group in Risk Management business units.

Main activities:
1/ Managing Projects:
Build the project business case : feasibility inputs, sizing, deadlines
Plan projects steps, customize project approach, prepare quality plan
Define the budget for the project, take accountability for P&L
Anticipate and monitor resources (HR, logistics, budget…) deployment throughout the project
Drive detail design, technical design, build and test activities
Prepare BAU handover
Manage customer relationship throughout the project and ensure continuous reporting to steering committee (risk analysis, issues management, progress status)
Liaise with the developers and provide feedback with regards to performance and competencies issue
Implement AXA GS project management standards, methodology and tools
2/ Managing Business requests plan and ensure service needs
Qualify the changes requested for actuarial risk modeling in the context of Solvency II
Projects: drive business cases, conduct opportunity studies, understand business value of the requirements, propose core/standard answers
Small changes: investigate requests, administrate the portfolio, prepare change boards committees, provide advisory to the process owners
Propose solutions compliant with GRM’s Solvency II framework and orientations for:
Business processes: new processes or enhancement of existing ones
Information systems: new information system or enhancement of existing ones
Change management: transition to new processes/information systems
Validate solution /release before launching UAT and deployments
3/ Manage Customers relationship
Drive convergence by identifying new opportunities from AXA GS & Customer
Aims for a consistent, coordinated approach of AXA GS to the customer
Provide mutual comprehensive view of activities from both AXA GS and customer standpoint
Constitute point of escalation and is the complaint resolution owner
Help to build up the necessary operational connection between the customer and concerned units within AXA GS
Coordinates price card and budget discussions for all AXA GS offers

Profil recherché


Ideally Actuarial and IT Engineer Diploma. Professional education in Insurance/Finance Risk Management
Ability to understand and analyze actuarial needs (P&C / L&S – Assets / Liabilities), and to design target IT target and data model in RMPS
Experience in model development, business and IT, methodology, testing, etc.
Ability to produce project deliverables and review for completeness and quality, and compliance with established project standards
Business knowledge
Insurance understanding
STEC processes
STEC modelling capabilities

Ability to communicate and to maintain good relationship with business risk management experts from AXA entities Risk Management and Investment departments risk modeling
Capacity & willingness to create consensus between experts
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Capacity to deliver under strict deadlines and to work under time pressure
Team spirit and willingness to share information and knowledge

Main Mission

Risk management activities are keys for Solvency 2 compliance, therefore a clear view of the stakes is required to propose a Risk Management IT system which is adapted. Supporting the entities entails being in touch with lots of actuaries across the AXA Group who are highly skilled in actuarial science and IT, they must be understood as clearly as possible. This position is in permanent contact with the users, requiring a lot of autonomy, of initiative and self-confidence. He/she will be representing AXA Group Solutions towards the user community and will influence as such the customer scope results of AXA Group Solutions (Risk Department perspective).
He/she interacts with the other members of the AXA Risk Management team and with all the local departments of entities (10 entities) in order to ensure alignment to Group expectations.
He/she manages the developer team to ensure a high level of quality by creating and maintaining the Group actuarial tools, which are used across all AXA companies. He/she gathers the needs of business team and manages the implementation by the IT developers. He/she interacts with the team responsible for the IT infrastructure (RMPS team).
