Since 2014, the company’s mission has been to make life easier for musicians by allowing them to rehearse and perform on stage together in better conditions. How do they do this? By transforming their paper scores into digital, interactive and collaborative sheet music.

No more heavy binders, no more stress of turning pages, no more photocopying. The company is a bit like Google Docs for sheet music : a software ecosystem that allows musicians to keep all of their scores in a digital library accessible at any time, to work on them with dedicated tools, and to share them in real time with other users. Company's strengths are its numerous features, but also its ease of use and customer support, which have enabled it to reach 150,000 downloads on the App Store since its launch, and in just a few years it has established itself as the reference tool for orchestras and opera houses, which the company accompanies with training offers.

Driven by its initial success with music professionals, the company then developed tools for sheet music publishers in order to co-create with them a smooth and secure distribution channel for all players in the chain. After raising nearly 3 million euros, the company is now focusing all its efforts on meeting the pressing needs of music education: the start-up seeks to actively support the next generation of musicians by improving interaction between teachers and their students, both in the classroom and remotely. Today, the company is therefore looking to expand internationally to give access to its tools to as many people as possible.

Working within our engineering team, you will be primarily responsible for design, development and maintenance of our multiple web applications.
Our roadmap includes features around sheet music interactivity (multimedia synchronization, markings, …), library management, real-time collaboration between musicians, and education software integration.

Because we want our company to pursue our integration with the rest of the ecosystem, like music notation softwares or Learning Management Systems (LMS), we are looking for people willing to handle such challenges end-to-end. Thus, we value engineers with backend development experience.

We don’t necessarily expect the same level of skills for backend development as for frontend, yet we are looking for people who already have a clear understanding of common topics like REST APIs, OAuth and third-party logins, integrations with third-parties, and who are willing to eventually contribute to our backend codebase to develop end-to-end features.

Profil recherché

Your role :

With the Product and Design team, take part in the design process of the future evolutions of our Web ecosystem
Design and implement new features of our Web apps
Maintain and fix bugs on existing features and implementations
Suggest future evolutions of our frontend stacks (frameworks, architecture…)
Contribute to backend development as needed, under the supervision of our Lead backend engineer
Preferred experience :
Holding an Engineering degree or an MSc in a relevant field, you have solid prior experience in front-end development, and some prior work on backend. More specifically:

You have 3+ years of experience in frontend development
You are proficient in at least one SPA framework (React, Angular, Vue)
You have a deep understanding of interactions between web apps and Web APIs, OAuth, …
You have some experience working with backend code
Bonus points if you match with one (or more!) of the following:

You are a React expert, and/or a TypeScript guru :-)
You have worked with Progressive Web Apps (PWA)
You are really comfortable with one backend development language and framework (e.g.: Django, RoR, Symfony, Spring…)

Recruitment process
Three rounds of interviews, involving the CTO, a lead developer and the CEO.
