Mission :
Reporting to the Head of Data Science, the Data Scientist will be tasked in defining, building and training advanced analytical models, to help deliver a program of both industry and company transformative data driven products and services that ultimately empower decision making and boost business performance.
Principal Accountabilities:
- Deliver data driven product as part of multi-disciplinary teams following agile processes:
• Understand business objectives, assess situation, define data science goals and success criteria and support definition of project plan
• Identify and qualify relevant data sources, explore and understand data sets
• Supervise data engineering activities: selection of attributes, data cleaning, data integration / formatting and feature engineering
• Select appropriate modeling technique / assumption, build model, assess performance and suggest improvements
• Design communication support to present results, and evaluate performance against business objectives
• Prepare deployment / scaling, in articulation with IT teams

Profile:
The candidate will be passionate about building and delivering high scale data capabilities that bring transformative value. She/he will have had successful leadership roles in managing Data Science projects for a complex business. Experience of working in global teams and/or start up environments would be advantageous.
Specifically, the Data Scientist is likely to have:
- Master’s or Ph. D in a quantitative field (Statistics, Mathematics, Physics, etc.)
- High level knowledge of Big Data & Analytics use case, ability to transpose in new context
- Proficiency in data analysis and advanced modelling techniques (statistics, machine learning, operational research)
- Ability to manage storage and complex requesting on data on Big Data environment (Hadoop, Spark, Hive, etc.)
- Good programming skills as well as overall understanding of principles, tools and Big Data architecture
- Strong intellectual curiosity and ability to structure and solve difficult problems
- English fluency
- Values and ethical principles is critical to fit both the organization.
