SoftBank Robotics Europe is looking for an experienced back-end developer for its Online Software Services team based in Paris. This team is in charge of delivering and operating remote services and Web interfaces for our growing robot fleet worldwide. These services allow robots to get or post resources, provide analytics and access to "online intelligence", in a scalable and secure manner. Based on the latest technologies, a deep AWS platform integration and an emerging multi-vendor cloud strategy, this position offers many opportunities to bring innovation and cutting edge approaches to our infrastructure.
Thanks to a huge scope of technical opportunities, new scenarios of interaction between robots and the cloud are envisioned. Our team is looking for a skilled back-end developer with hands-on experience developing REST APIs, that is able to deliver quality code on a tight schedule. The ideal candidate should be looking for the challenge of building the cloud of robots in a friendly professional team. In particular, we believe that learning skills and sharing spirits are the best assets in the software industry.
The technical environment will evolve in:
- Code written in python, mostly Tornado, some legacy in Django
- Development process based on the tools offered by the Gitlab suite (code review/CI/CD)
- Code written following a micro-service approach (for many good reasons)
- No fear to question our previous choices

Profil recherché
- 3+ years of software development experience in web/cloud environments
- Proficient with some popular server-side languages: Python would be a plus (tornado, django),
- Ability and willingness to work extensively with Python
- Willingness to write elegant code (clear over smart: KISS and DRY)
- Experience working with databases (Mysql, PostgreSQL)
- Continuous Improvement, you always question “This was good 6 month ago, has anything changed since?”
- Working knowledge on Linux environments
- Experience with agile software development
- Ability to quickly learn new technologies
- English (spoken, written)
Nice to have :
- A first experience with load testing tools (locust, jmeter, LoadUI)
- Previous experience in high-traffic architectures
- French language working proficiency
- Chinese or Japanese culture knowledge and language proficiency
- Experience deploying code in the AWS platform
- Personal interest on IOT / Robotics
- Ability and willingness to travel internationally
