The Business Application and Project Leader aims at implementing and maintaining Corporate HQs applications.

The Business Application and Project Leader ensures the projects or applications maintenance are performing well complying with schedule, costs and quality while matching the business needs.

He/She works with business teams to gather requirements, create specifications, perform users acceptance tests and implement new solutions or enhance existing applications.

The Project Leader responsibility is also to maintain all applications under his/her perimeter in technical operational conditions.

Scope: Corporate / Headquarters departments (General management, Finance, Audit, Legal, Human Resources, Purchasing, Innovation & R&D, EH&S,...).

Customers: Imerys users based in Paris (about 250 people) and Group users concerned by the Corporate/HQs applications (about 1 000 people).

Types of applications: Departments' Analysis and Reporting, Finance Consolidation, Accountings, Treasury, Corp Communication, etc.

Domestic travel: no
International travel: a few possible travels, 1 or 2 per year.


The missions of the Business Application and Project Leader are to:

Maintain & Improve applications:
-Maintain and upgrade technically applications under his/her perimeter,
-Define and suggest improvements to the process and/or applications,
-Proactively ensure application availability, up-time and performance
-Discuss/Negotiate with consultants, software vendors or other contractors when troubleshooting,
-Plan and manage software upgrade planning, ensuring the success of the change within his/her level of responsibility

Be the key reference for internal users:
-be a key contact for the applications support and take care of all requests and analysis,
-Provides training and write users manuals and to facilitate sessions with key users.

Project management:
-In charge of small -medium size projects as leader, participate may work as a project team member for a few other ones.
-Ensure of project progress and objectives attainment; report status to his supervisor and management,
-Develop and manage project plans, tasks, timelines, milestones, communications and resource requirements and resource allocations to achieve project goals,
-Prepare and communicate appropriate project information to stakeholders,
-Identify, manage and minimize project risks and project risk exposure,
-Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans,
-Maintain appropriate project management tools to maintain and update plans, schedules, and resource management.

Activity reporting:
-Report to his/her manager on monthly activity for both application maintenance and project works.
(eg. on the progress of activities -requests, incidents- and the availability of applications assigned).

Profil recherché

Education:
-Bachelor + 3 to 5 year- IT diploma/degree from accredited school

Experience:
-2 to 3 year-experience in successfully managing low-moderate complexity projects and/or subsystems of larger projects.
-Hands-on experience troubleshooting configuring and upgrading business application,
-Experience of providing front line support to a large corporate or operational end user base,
-Report writing experience,
-Problem solving technics.

Technical skills:
-Very good knowledge of business processes (EHS, Purchases, Finance, Accounting, Reporting consolidations),
-Proven and demonstrated competencies in managing business applications and ERP,
-Office application expertise (Word, Excel, PowerPoint , Access and Lotus Notes),
-Very good overall knowledge of Information Technology,
-Experience of relational database concepts, Olap / BI and reporting tools.
-Regular use of Project management methodology, PMI would be a plus.

Languages:
-Fluent English: capacity to take an active part in any conference call or meeting in English as well as to communicate in writing without misunderstanding.
