Our client provides end-to-end systematic trading solutions. This includes ultra low latency market data technologies, algo-trading development framework, proximity hosting and order routing services; to help hedge funds, market makers, proprietary desks and latency sensitive sell side firms to take the lead.

Within the R&D you will actively take part to the development of our middleware (framework server and client API) and framework based services. You will also participate to integration projects which involve messaging bus and databases.
You must be an autonomous and flexible problem solver and works effectively on individual projects as well as project teams. You understand and are interested in agile method of working and focused in getting high performance and high quality software.

The Impact:
Development, maintenance and support of SDK C++ APIs; Expert on those APIs
Design and development, according to existing standards and expected quality, on the various layers of the application:
From lowest levels involving threading and network management with transport layers (TCP, Multicast, IPC, Shared Memory) to proprietary protocols
Further to business components (aggregation and consolidation of streams, management of referential and financial tools).

This includes:
Perform the technical studies
Implement the libraries/binaries in C++
Implement unit tests
Run regression and performance tests
Review issues and bugs to diagnose and correct problems
Be second and third level of support on client issues
Management of maintenance releases
Design and implementation of integration projects with other teams (Scripts, Messaging middleware, Database)

skills:
Msc in Computer Science or related field
Solid experience in C++ environment with at least one in the financial environment
Good knowledge of multithreading.
Strong C++ coding skills under Unix/Linux system
Java and C# skills
Experience in tuning high performing components; parallel development; code optimisation and high data volume management
Experience on integration projects, middleware and databases
Good knowledge on source configuration management
Good knowledge of Script languages (Bash, Perl, Python …)
Good communication skills
Strong sense of accountability in meeting commitments and achieving results
Good spoken and written English level
